The Swing Along Castle

Benjamin is so excited about his newest thing to play with-a swingalong castle! He LOVES going down the slide and riding in the swing :) Grandpa and Grandma spoiled him and brought it over last night. He couldn't get enough of it tonight, although mom is a bit frightened that he's going to be a daredevil. He had no fear going down the slide and had a giant smile on his face as he leaned forward and whipped himself down the slide. What a fun summer toy!
In other news...Benjamin got his first tooth last week! It is now peeking through on the bottom, and although it was a rough few days, he's doing much better the last few days.
Much to his mom's dissapointment...Benjamin is crawling backwards, rocking constantly, moving his arms, going from the crawling position to sitting and back to crawling, but he will not go forward!!!! He is sooooo close, and he can move every which way, but he just won't quite go yet. Last night and tonight he actually did crawl just a little bit, but then he lays down to take a rest or sits himself up. I know I should be careful what I wish for, but I'm so anxious for it to happen!
We are going up north for the long weekend to the cottage and are really looking forward to it! Happy Memorial Day!

It's Been Awhile...

Benjamin is eating so many new things! This was his first time eating spaghetti (baby food spaghetti that is) and he LOVED it. The Italian in him definitely came out :)

What a mess!

Thanks for the towel Grandma!

Happy May!

Benjamin having fun at grandma and grandpa's in his toy box! He surprised us this weekend by pulling himself up on this, almost standing!
Benjamin is loving the warmer weather! He loves hanging out in just his diaper!

Daddy and Benjamin at the Detroit Zoo. The penguin house-it was pretty smelly, but a fun time.

Mom and Benjamin looking at the polar bears! (Look carefully in the background and you can see it in the water)
