Lucy Elizabeth Ozog

Lucy Elizabeth is here! She was born on Sunday, March 20th at 4:43 am. She weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz. and was 20 inches long. She came very fast-my contractions started about midnight and she was here by 4:43! She was born the night of the "Super Moon" and Eric and I had joked all day that maybe she would come that night. We even planned a strategic trip to the zoo that day where we walked around for a good 2 hours in hopes she would come. She was born 11 days early-we were DEFINITELY ready for her! Benjamin is the BEST big brother in the world! He has been so sweet with her. He loves when she makes noises and thinks it is really funny.

Where Do We Even Begin?

I cannot believe my last post was in early JULY! We are quite behind! It's been a wonderful summer, and I think in my "back to school" panic mode, I'm realizing how much we did and how much I need to update this blog! We've had so much fun and Benjamin is getting so big. He is talking and has quite the personality! Here are a few pictures from the cottage over the 4th of July to get started....there is MUCH more to come!

A Bit Behind....

Summer is here-and we've been busier than ever! We just got back from San Antonio and then a weekend at the cottage, along with Natalie's baby shower-all of those pictures are to come soon! The last day of our trip, our camera broke, so we just bought a new one and I'm still learning about downloading pictures from this new camera. I am attaching a few pictures from our trip, but I'm going to make a slideshow since there are so many! We had a wonderful time. Counting down the days til Eric is home again..should only be 1-2 weeks!

The Little Gardener

Benjamin's latest favorite toy and favorite thing to do-water everything in sight. I'm trying to teach him to water the things that need it like flowers or the grass, but he really enjoys watering the driveway and the deck. He even tried to water the Explorer yesterday (it probably does need a good wash)

Benjamin has a new pool and he loves it. We bought one of those pop-up pools and I think I've finally figured out how to put in the right amounts of chlorine and shock treatments, so we took advantage and went for a morning swim :)
This pool is the perfect size-Benjamin can reach the bottom and not be underwater.

Memorial Day at the Cottage

Benjamin LOVED the boat and actually cooperated and wore his life jacket this year. He learned to say "boat" at the cottage too. He says it all the time now...can't wait to go back! He loved helping grandpa drive and honking the horn!

I love this picture because you can see him saying his favorite word in the whole world right now, "WHOA!" He says it to almost everything he sees!

He found this truck at the cottage in a bin of sand toys I had brought home from school and was obsessed with it. We even brought it home because he loved it so much!

My New Ride

Benjamin has been admiring our neighbor's push car for a few weeks, so he finally got his own this weekend! He LOVES it-I am exhausted from all of the rides we've taken in the last 2 days!
As you can see in the picture, he is yelling at me because he's frustrated I'm stopping to take a picture! :)

We just renewed our membership to the Detroit Zoo, and Benjamin loved every second of our latest trip! He was very fascinated with this tiger statue, and even tried to give it a hug as you can see above.
He wouldn't leave this statue for about 20 minutes. We tried telling him there were real animals to see....

18 Month Photo Shoot!

My great friend Anne, who lives in California and is a photographer, came home and did a photo shoot with Benjamin in our backyard. Of course it was FREEZING this day, but Benjamin didn't mind as long as he could be outside. He was really funny about the camera-vey curious about it and wanted to touch it but really wouldn't look at it when Anne told him to.

In other news, Eric just found out that he is going to be working in San Antonio for 2 months. He went this week for a visit and was supposed to be home last night, but weather delays caused him to have to wait until today to come home! He will be able to fly home every other week, and Benjamin and I are going to visit him once school is out. 5 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chloe and Me

Benjamin and Chloe are two peas in a pod-they are so funny together! Here he is showing off his new sunglasses, and of course Chloe has to investigate and be right with him.

He loves to lay down with Chloe on her bed and cuddle with her. The latest things he does include giving Chloe hugs, kisses, and even attempting to climb and ride her. We are so lucky Chloe is tolerant with him-he is not the most gentle playmate!

He also loves to climb between her legs and sit wherever she is sitting on the porch.

Is This My Child or What?!?!

I can tell he's going to be great at the worm when he gets older! He loves to slide across the wood floors when he has his pajamas on :)

Corn On The Cob

Summer's almost here and a sure sign of that is corn on the cob! Benjamin LOVED it! It took him a few minutes to figure out how to hold it, but after awhile he was chowing away.

Happy Opening Day!

GO TIGERS! Benjamin and I had so much fun cheering on the Tigers in our nice, warm house while daddy went to the game! Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

Happy April

Benjamin with a HUGE smile on his face on Easter-grandpa and grandma got him a bubble mower! He loves it!
His favorite thing to do-hang on the doorwall and beg to go outside! We have been enjoying every second of this beautiful April weather!

This little look of mischief is one we see often :) Here he is cheering on the Spartans from the porch-he peeks his head in the window every now and then. We are so proud of our Spartans again this year-another FINAL FOUR! Go Green!

You can tell warmer weather has arrived at our house...Benjamin and Chloe are back to spending endless hours on the screened in porch together. Chloe is not so happy that Benjamin is now able to join her in her favorite chair....
