Cottage Weekend

Benjamin had a great weekend at the cottage-we enjoyed beautiful sunshine almost all weekend! He went in the lake for the first time and loved it. He also liked going on the boat, although he again is NOT a big fan of his life jacket! We'll keep trying :)

My Favorite Things

Benjamin is obsessed with the vaccuum cleaner! He loves climbing on it and watching it when mom vaccuums the rug (which is EVERY single day because of our animals! Sometimes more!) I love his face in this picture, priceless.
Benjamin also loves phones and remote controls. He loves talking to people on the phone, although lately his favorite thing to do is push buttons and hang up on people!

Benjamin loves crawling into our office and playing with the scale.

This is another one of his favorites-Chloe's ball tosser. He loves when daddy plays with Chloe and he gets to hold it. He even cries when it's time to come inside and he has to stop playing it.

So, the lesson learned from the first time parents? Toys are useless! He barely even plays with his real toys. He loves everything else in the house!

Happy Fathers Day

We had a great fathers day with a BBQ at our house. Benjamin is very lucky to have such a great dad (and he knows it-his favorite thing to say is "Hi dada") and 2 wonderful grandpas!

We Love the Zoo

Today was another great day of summer-we went to the zoo with my friend Courtney and her daughter Alexandra. It was a beautiful day and both babies loved sitting together in the polar bear exhibit. They were more interested in each other than the animals, but that's ok with us, Courtney and I have waited forever for them to be old enough to interact and have fun together!

Summer is FINALLY here!

Well it looks like summer has finally decided to show up! We couldn't be happier around here. Mom is now officially off for the summer. This weekend, we went to the cottage and Benjamin got to ride on grandma and grandpa's new pontoon. Of course he hated his life jacket, but loved crawling around on it and riding in the wind. He also got to go in his baby pool for the first time this morning, and as you can probably tell, he loved it! He splashed away and had a great time. It's going to be a fantastic summer!

Moving Everywhere!

As the title of this post suggests, Benjamin cannot sit still. (As I attempt to type this, he has crawled into the kitchen and is doing one of his favorite things, splashing his hands in Chloe's water dish!) He is crawling like a mad man, and into everything. Now I understand why people told me to be careful what I wished for when I was so sad he wasn't crawling yet! He is also pulling himself up to everything, standing, and attempting to climb the stairs. His favorite places to crawl to in the house are the front porch, the sliding door, and to Chloe's food and water dishes. He is having so much fun and is hilarious to watch. He says "hi" and "hi dada" very clearly. We are still waiting for "hi mama!"

Ok so these are almost a month old and we are way behind!!!! This is my last week of work and then I promise I will be a better blogger! I have so much to post today! :) We had a great time over Memorial Day weekend at the cottage. Benjamin learned to crawl there! He loved being outside and by the water. We can't wait until it's a bit warmer and he can go swimming and on grandma and grandpa's new pontoon.
