It's a BOY!

Congratulations to our dear friends Gerrad and Kelley, who welcomed their first baby, Jackson, on Tuesday! We went to visit them tonight and it was so much fun to see them! Jackson is so adorable and tiny! Benjamin wasn't so sure about the baby, although he did want to touch him. (Mom was not so sure about this after watching him with our dog and the cats-he isn't exactly "gentle")Kelley is doing great and already looks amazing. We are so excited for Benjamin to have a boy to play with!

Happy Birthday Alexandra

Today we went to Benjamin's dear friend Alexandra's first birthday party. She was so precious! Benjamin loved playing in Alexandra's ball house and celebrating her big day. It is so hard to believe she's already a year old!

My First Wedding!

We went to my cousin Anne's wedding in Lansing this weekend and had a great time. Here is Benjamin in his high chair at the reception enjoying a roll!

This is Benjamin's first time meeting his cousins. This is my cousin Ed and Peg's family, including Peg, Tyler, Macy, and Riley. He loved all the attention from these beautiful girls!

Busy, Busy, Busy

The title of this post describes our life in the last few weeks, as well as Benjamin! We have been sooo busy, and he is constantly busy. He loves to move around and get into everything. I cannot even imagine when he starts walking!

Here he is in his new Tigers outfit that my friend Jill and I bought for our babies while at Annie's bachelorette party in Detroit!
These are my friends from work-can you believe all these babies?!?! We have a summer playgroup so we can all get together and the kids can play. Benjamin loved every minute of it. He loved watching the older kids play and interacting with all of the ladies his age. (Every single one of my friends at work had girls!!!)

Benjamin and Mary Jane, who is my friend Mary Lu's daughter. She will be a year old very soon!

July Fun

Benjamin in his "I love New York" shirt that Aunt Natalie brought him! The first one she bought him when he was first born never fit him-he was too big for it from the start :)
I can't get over how much he loves Chloe. He spends every day following her around the house and playing with her wherever she goes. She should thank her lucky stars because I contemplate taking her to the pound daily! (Kidding, well kind of)

Benjamin "spelling" his name in the bathtub. A true genius! Actually, the only thing he kept doing was taking away the letters as I tried to snap the pictures. It was quite funny!

Benjamin reading his favorite book in the whole wide world, "I Love you Through and Through". He has to hear it at least 5 times a day! He points to all of the pictures. I find it funny that his favorite pages are the ones about the little boy's mad side and sad side.

Benjamin LOVES books! He dumped them out of his basket to choose.

Happy 4th of July!

We're a little late...but hope you all had a good 4th of July. Benjamin did, we were once again at the cottage. I bought us all matching shirts to celebrate (which Benjamin and I were thrilled about, Eric on the other hand not so much!) and we enjoyed the day on the lake. Benjamin slept through all of the fireworks and did not get to see any this year-maybe next year!

Rain, Rain Go Away

Two people (well one person, one dog) in our household are very sad that it's raining today! Benjamin has spent the whole morning crawling to the front porch and looking out the window, really wanting to go outside! Hopefully it will clear off so his wish will come true!
