The Little Vacuumer

We are dealing with a new obsession at our house...the vacuum cleaner! Actually, I guess I can't say it is a new obsession because he's always loved it, but it's gone to a whole new level in the past few months. The carpets and rugs in our house have never been cleaner-we literally have to vacuum multiple times a day to make Benjamin happy. If he finds the vacuum, he insists on using it right then and there! We have gone to extreme measures, including hiding one of them in the garage. In the picture above, he is playing with his little toy vacuum, which he loves more than life itself. He's even tried to take it to bed with him a few times!
This was so cute-the SUN was actually shining into our house this morning and he kept running over and pointing at the light on the carpet! LOL it was if he's never seen the sun before...well, we do live in Michigan so I guess that's not too far fetched.

Happy to be vacuuming and to find sunlight on the carpet!

Ready For Spring

Is it Spring yet!??!?! We're counting down the days until we're able to be outside again...I swear I will never complain about how much time Benjamin loves to spend outside again! Spending all this time indoors has helped Benjamin to discover every little inch of our house and of course find some very interesting things to do. He has become quite the monkey-climbing on everything in our house. He loves to stand on top of his toy boxes, tables, and the desk in the office.

He loves to sit and stand on top of this toy box and throw his snacks to Chloe. They have made quite a game out of it.

16 Months Old!

I can't believe that my sweet little baby boy is 16 months old today! He truly is not a baby at all anymore, I can't believe how much he is growing up and learning every day. Benjamin, you truly light up our lives and we love you so much!

Winter Fun

We finally saw the SUN this weekend so we had a chance to go outside in the snow! Of course Mr. Outdoors loved every minute of it. Here he is in the sled he got for Christmas from grandma and grandpa. He LOVES it! In fact, when grandpa is babysitting him, he even pulls him around in the basement on the carpet because Benjamin loves it so much! :)

Attempting to walk in his winter gear. Ignore the dirty car! My god!

Benjamin always wants to try whatever daddy is doing, so of course he wanted to shovel. He did a good job! I can't wait until he can take over all of the shoveling duties (not that I do much of it, but still....)

Time Flies....

We went to visit Courtney, Curt, and Alexandra this weekend-I find it so funny how much these babies have changed, yet how some things don't change at all! Alexandra is now 18 months and Benjamin just turned 16 months today! It became so clear when they were together how much of a difference there is between boys and girls! Alexandra was trying to hug Benjamin and he wanted nothing to do with it. She was also smiling so pretty for the camera and cooperating, and as you can see, that was not the case for Mr. Benjamin! :) I remembered this happening when they were tiny too, so thought it would be fun to post the pictures!

I Love My Toothbrush!

Benjamin's new favorite activity is to brush his teeth "by himself". Of course he loves sitting in the sink while he does it, which doesn't exactly work when trying to run the water.

Happy 2010!

We rang in 2010 with the Haller family. Here is a picture of Benjamin and Gracie, and of course we had to put them together for a photo shoot. They were hilarious. I love his expression in this one!
Benjamin was trying to figure out who this new friend was. Mike (Gracie's dad) was not too pleased with this-he already has Benjamin tagged as Grace's future bodyguard, and he certainly didn't seem to be doing his job well so far.

Very curious here....at least he was gentle and didn't go right for her eyes (his signature move when he meets anyone new) Also, just so you all know, my new year's resolution (one of many) is to update this blog at least 2 times a week, I know I have been AWFUL the last few months! Here's hoping 2010 is a great year for all of us!
