Big Boy!

We've retired the high chair-Benjamin wants nothing to do with it. We can manage to get him to sit in his new big boy booster seat for about 5 minutes before he wants to go, go, go again!
I love this picture! Chloe is such a trooper-she puts up with so much. Benjamin loves her so much!

Benjamin's absolute favorite thing to do right now-take books out of his book bin and read them himself. It's so cute and so encouraging-I knew he was going to be a big reader!

This was taken tonight (Halloween). Benjamin kept stealing candy from our candy bowl for trick-or-treaters!

Dad's Home!

We are so happy to report that Dad is home from Georgia!!!!!!! He drove all day yesterday so that he could be here for Halloween. Benjamin was SO excited to see him!

Trick Or Treat!

Benjamin got to experience Trick or Treating for the first time tonight and he loved it! He walked up and down the street collecting candy for his mom and dad :) He also loved his costume and didn't even try to take it off once. What a cute little giraffe he made!

We Miss Daddy!

Dad is in Georgia for 3 weeks for work, and we are REALLY missing him! Luckily, grandma and grandpa bought us a webcam so that we can talk with him every day. Benjamin loves talking with him on the webcam and constantly goes over to my laptop and tries to open it. We can't wait for Friday-dad will be home for the weekend. We have lots planned-trip to the cider mill, pumpkin carving, and much more!

We Love Fall!

It was a beautiful fall day here in Michigan!!! We took full advantage of it and went to the zoo with Courtney, Curt, and Alexandra. Here is Benjamin in his new Red Wings hat he got from Grandpa Larry. He got lots of compliments on it today! :)
Benjamin and Alexandra walking around the zoo. Don't they look so grown up?

Benjamin wanted nothing to do with his stroller today. He was all about walking (nearly running) by himself!

Love this picture. Alexandra looks like such a little doll here!

Victory for MSU (FINALLY!!!!!)

Benjamin cheering after a BIG Spartan victory over the Michigan Wolverines!!!! He was so funny, he would laugh hysterically when mom and dad were screaming and cheering at the TV. Good thing he can't talk yet, or he'd be saying a lot of inappropriate things after the 4th quarter!
I love this picture, you can actually see him watching the game and Sparty is on the TV!

We went to our good friends Gerrad and Kelley's house to watch most of the game. Here is their son Jackson and Benjamin together. They did pretty well, although Benjamin did want to touch him, and eventually took the pillow out from behind Jackson.

Double Duty today-GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!

Very curious about this baby....

We're Baaack!

It's been so long-hopefully things will start settling down so we are able to update you more!
Benjamin had his 1 year appointment last week-he is very healthy and doing outstanding! He is 23 lbs, 4 oz and 30 inches tall. That is 50th percentile for weight, and 85th for height. He has really fallen off the charts in weight, but we aren't surprised-the boy NEVER stops, literally. He is on the go constantly and into everything. He is walking everywhere, although I'm not sure if I would "officially" call him a walker yet-he still falls a lot and prefers to crawl if he needs to get somewhere fast. He also loves climbing stairs, emptying cupboards, drawers, and closets, pushing all of the buttons on his toys (we know every song and sound by heart!), and pushing around everything with wheels! He is also quite the climber-he has learned how to climb onto the couch and chairs. He is babbling all of the time, and loves to say dada, mama, kitty, baba, and hi. He is learning how to "gently" pet the cats and still loves Chloe to death!
Happy Fall!
