Sunday Funday

We ventured to the park just a few blocks over from our house today, and Benjamin was in heaven! He had so much fun climbing the playstructure, going down the slide, and playing on the swings. He was smiling the entire time we were there! He is going to love spring and summer-I can't wait!
Riding the dinosaur-loved this too! Last summer, I took Chloe with us to the park and she was barking at this dinosaur! Quite the guard dog, huh?

He LOVED the slide! He literally went down 100 times!

Daddy building Benjamin a snowman in the backyard. Unfortunately he was more interested in destroying it than anything else. He and Chloe made quite a team stealing the sticks! :)

Snow Day #2!

Well after a beautiful 45 degree day yesterday, we woke up to a TON of snow today and a snow day for mommy! Woooooo hoooooo! It was warm enough and Benjamin is finally healthy again so we could go out and enjoy the snow. We played outside for quite awhile and had a great time!

Benjamin's new obsession: the snow blower. We never know if it's going to start, but it fired right up this time!

Meet The Twins!

We finally got to Grand Rapids this weekend to see our good friends Matt and Jess and their new twin girls, Natalie and Ava. (Well, not so new-they were born in December). I don't know why we haven't learned that we should take pictures of Benjamin with our friends' babies when we first arrive, because the picture above was taken about 5 minutes before we left and as you can see, Benjamin was NOT happy to have his picture taken. His face here is absolutely priceless!

At the very end of our little photo shoot, Benjamin decided to be nice and grabbed Natalie's little hand and was holding it. At least he attempted to redeem himself.

He was a huge fan of the twins' elephant and tiger that you can sit and ride on!

Big Boy Hair Cut!

Benjamin got his hair cut again today and he definitely got a "Big Boy" hair cut! He was extremely cooperative and all of the ladies that worked there loved him! The suckers definitely helped get him through as well :)

SNOW DAY!

Today we FINALLY got a snow day for this school year! We have been waiting for a big snowstorm. Unfortunately Benjamin has a bit of a cold so we couldn't go outside and enjoy the snow, so we were busy looking for activities to do inside all day.

Benjamin LOVES taking baths (Just like his friend Henry!) and took more than one today. He goes "swimming" in the tub now-he lays on his stomach and kicks his feet and moves around. Good thing we're starting swim classes in March!

We also tried finger painting but it wasn't really a success. As you might be able to tell from the picture, Benjamin ended up in tears and the paint all over the place. He also threw his paper on the ground and got it in his mouth. I guess we'll wait awhile on the finger painting...it was worth a try :)

Super Bowl Sunday

I know these pictures are a few days late...but Benjamin was so cute for his second Super Bowl Sunday! He wore his football hoodie and carried his football around the house. Unfortunately, he only took 1 nap all day so he really didn't make it past the first few minutes of the game. He was pretty upset that the game took away from him watching Elmo, and continuously tried changing the channel and turning on the DVD player (he's become quite a pro at this!)

The Little Vacuumer

We are dealing with a new obsession at our house...the vacuum cleaner! Actually, I guess I can't say it is a new obsession because he's always loved it, but it's gone to a whole new level in the past few months. The carpets and rugs in our house have never been cleaner-we literally have to vacuum multiple times a day to make Benjamin happy. If he finds the vacuum, he insists on using it right then and there! We have gone to extreme measures, including hiding one of them in the garage. In the picture above, he is playing with his little toy vacuum, which he loves more than life itself. He's even tried to take it to bed with him a few times!
This was so cute-the SUN was actually shining into our house this morning and he kept running over and pointing at the light on the carpet! LOL it was if he's never seen the sun before...well, we do live in Michigan so I guess that's not too far fetched.


Happy to be vacuuming and to find sunlight on the carpet!
